Sandals Resorts is a company renowned for its luxury couples-only hotels in the Caribbean, and in early 2015 its unique brand will return to Barbados, when Sandals Barbados re-opens after a total and radical renovation. There will be no fewer than 11 gourmet restaurants, with dishes from all corners of the globe, ensuring there is a dining experience to suit every mood and every occasion — this will of course include regular theme nights, as well as weekly events including beach parties and movies on the beach. You will also be able to choose from 5 bars, including the swim-up bar in the daytime, and in the evening enjoy a romantic glass of wine beside one of the cosy flickering fire-pits.
The 280 rooms and suites, newly refurbished with handcrafted furnishings from Asia and Jamaica, are grouped into three villages — the Caribbean Village, nestling in tropical gardens, the Crystal Lagoon Village, beside the shimmering lagoon (including the swim-up Butler Suites, with direct access from the room to the lagoon pool), and Ocean Village, with all ocean-facing rooms, including the one-bedroomed Butler Suites with balcony Tranquillity Soaking Tubs. Despite having 280 rooms, Sandals Barbados promises to provide an intimate and romantic getaway, and in keeping with its spirit of romance, it is even offering complimentary weddings and renewals of vows, to those staying in the resort.
