Your first impression of the LUX* Belle Mare, with its majestic lobby under a traditional-style thatched roof, surrounding a vast pool, will be one of a relaxed, understated elegance. This is reinforced by the 174 suites and 12 thatched-roof private villas, all freshly redesigned by UK celebrity designer Kelly Hoppen, and featuring bright and modern interiors with ultra-luxurious fittings. There are two separate wings, one with easy access to children’s facilities, the other quieter for couples and honeymooners.
There is a superb range of dining at the 5 speciality restaurants, including the enchanting Senses Restaurant for seafood lovers, with its palm trees lit up at night. One delightful feature: on one day every week, the hotel takes on the character of one of the island’s traditional cultures — India, China, Africa, Europe — offering fascinating insights into the island’s history. Other special touches include frangipani blossoms strewn on breakfast tables, a red telephone box for free calls home, and bottles containing spa vouchers hidden round the grounds.
The LUX* Belle Mare has extensive experience in arranging weddings. You can marry in a beautifully adorned gazebo, or on the beach. To keep your wedding special, only one per day is allowed.
